After a PGA Tour player gets suspended from golf he rediscovers his love for the game through a man with special needs while working as a groundskeeper. Professional Golfer, Kenny Monahue, likes selling fake Rolexes and placing side bets more than playing on the PGA tour. When he gets suspended from playing professional golf for starting a fistfight during a tournament, his money runs as low as his reputation. The only job he can get is working on the grounds crew at a country club. Kenny is paired with Eric Beemer, a man with special needs. Eric is somewhat of a golf savant, tending the course with an otherworldly ability. While Kenny begrudgingly accepts his new job, he tries to help Eric in the department of love. After many failed attempts to set Eric up, Eric falls for Emma who has special circumstances of her own. Seth Smullen, Kenny's agent, finds a way for Kenny to play for money while suspended. He enters Kenny into a small tournament in South America. Eric does not want Kenny to go. He's afraid Kenny will fall back into his old ways on and off the golf course.
