USICD is a unique federation that has continued to grow and evolve since its founding in 1988, under its former name United States Council for International Rehabilitation - USCIR. USICD brings together many of the disability-oriented agencies, as well as associations, facilities and individual consumers in the country. Specifically, members include: government agencies, consumer associations, non-profit organizations, service providers, employers with exemplary employment policies, and individuals interested in furthering the full integration into society of people with disabilities.
